Paul Blackett, P.Tech., ROWP, CESA

Project Liaison – OWDS designer and inspector with 35 years local experience in groundwater and wastewater studies.

Mr. Blackett has been employed within the discipline of applied hydrogeology and environmental geology for 30 years.  As a principal of Kala Geosciences Ltd. and Interior Groundwater Consulting Ltd., Mr. Blackett provides professional consultation to Federal and Provincial agencies, municipalities, regional districts and private organizations.

Mr. Blackett has over 30 years’ experience in groundwater development within BC, from Fort Nelson in the north, to Greenwood in the south, and points east as far as Cranbrook and points in the Kootenay region.  Mr. Blackett also has key accomplishments in contaminated sites definition and management, hydrogeology and geotechnical engineering.

Yanfeng Yin, Ph.D., P.Geo. – Senior Hydrogeologist

  • 11 years local experience groundwater and wastewater studies.

Dr. Yin provides project planning, data analyses, hydrogeological interpretations, including well siting, long term yield analysis, and reporting services.  Dr. Yin has over 25 years’ experience in watershed assessment, numerical simulation, groundwater supply investigation in various, complex mountainous terrain, water quality assessment, wellhead protection, environment impact study, stormwater management, hydrogeologic assessment, water balance study, contaminated site assessment and remediation and dewatering.

Dr. Yin has over 14 years’ experience in the BC Interior in groundwater exploration, assessment and management, and in quantity and quality in challenging areas.  Dr. Yin is an active reviewer of the Journal of Hydrology.

Lindsay Berry, B.Sc., P.Geo., RESA, EP – Project Geoscientist

  • 5 years’ local experience

Mrs. Berry graduated in Geology with a Minor in Environmental Sciences from Laurentian University in 2007 and obtained her professional designation in 2011.  She has over 10 years of experience in the mining sector and has worked for such reputable companies as KGHM, Detour Lake Gold Corp, Hunter Dickinson Inc, Panoramic Resources, and Wallbridge Mining.  In addition, she has a proven record of facilitating long term business relationships with both customers and industry regulators.  Lindsay focuses on project management, contaminated sites, reclamation, management systems and provides professional consultation.

Adam Kortko – Senior Environmental Technician

Mr. Kortko is certified in the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). He is currently working as First Nations onsite OWDS installer with over 10 years field experience.
